“Wait time is the period of silence between the time a question is asked and the time when one or more students respond to that question.” (TeacherVision, 2015)

Why Wait Time Strategy is necessary?

1.     Asking question with a rapid fire speed
Slow or average students will take time to understand. So, wait time strategy is important.

2.     Asking question to a particular student
Other student will stop thinking about the concerned problem. They think that problem is not related with him. So, you have to ask the problem in general not with a particular student.

3.     Involvement of all students
Generally, slow students have not participate in class activities.

4.     Mentally Strong
When you give wait time or think time to the student.
1.     Intelligent students have more than one answer.
2.     Slow and average have at least one answer.

5.     Confidence Level Improve
Slow or average student have not participate in any class activity. So, they have lack in their confidence level. It will improve in their confidence level. When they think about any problem, they can reply it after wait time strategy.
